It can be easily removed and the actual ring is a size 7.7.44 grams total.Hallmarked 14k and a makers mark "JG"Extremely well crafted ring.Well chosen accents of 19 faceted natural rubies and 8 natural Black Star Sapphires en cabochon. My light didn't catch the star effect of the sapphires (other than one of the cabochons in the first photo) but all cabochons display star quality under certain lighting conditions.Often called a Thai princess ring, although likely made in China about a hundred years ago.One of the very nicest I've seen available.Light signs of use.
