Inspired by the fairy tale villain Maleficent, this custom designed ring features Ruby accent stones set in a black gold plated ring. The rubies are lab created rubies.The base metal is silver plated in black gold. The last picture shows a comparison of a silver ring with the black gold ring so you can see how the Maleficent ring is a darker color. Listing is for Maleficent ring only.

The side view of the ring represents Maleficent. The prong settings are shaped like horns with the main stone representing her face and the other rubies representing her robe.

Antique Love Knot Shamrock Ring, Victorian 15k Yellow Gold Heart Rose Cut Diamond Ruby Sapphire Love Token, Alternative Engagement Midi Ring

Repurposed from an antique English Victorian stick pin this delicate ring features a 15k yellow gold love knot in the shape of a heart with a miniature shamrock in the center. Each leaf bears a different gemstone: sapphire, rose cut diamond and ruby. It's a lovely combination of both sentimental and scriptual symbolism underlined by the message of the gems: diamonds for fideltiy, ruby for passion, and sapphire for truth.

The shamrock, considered the unofficial symbol of Ireland since roughly the 18th century, was used by St. Patrick as a metaphor for the Holy Trinity, each leaf cooresponding to the theological virtues of faith, love and hope. It was a very popular motif in the Victorian era as well used as a metaphysical reference to luck, vitality and prosperity.

This particular ring would be wonderful for an Irish bride, worn as a midi or right hand ring, but could make a lovely understated promise or alternative engagement ring as well.

Measuring a hair under 3/8" north to south and east to west mounted to its original 1.07 mm pin stem as the band which retains the remnants of the original hallmark. Currently size 5 scant which is just shy if a full 5 and should fit most size 5 fingers as the band is slim. Fully resizable as needed.

The stick pin once held a proud place in the jewel boxes of men and women from the mid 18th through the first quarter of the 20th century. Placed in cravats ( neck ties of the time) or gracefully accenting a frilled neckline they were often masterpieces of miniature artistry. Animals, flowers, mythological creatures, enamelwork, mixed metals, gemstones- there isn't a motif or a jeweler's method that wasn't employed in their manufacture.

Today some still collect them but for the most part they're overlooked so we've recycled a collection of them into rings, and wonderful rings they make.

Consider wearing them in layers, as post modern engagement rings, for everyday use or special occasion. They are sort of magical worn together, but hold their own individually and the smaller sizes work beautifully as first knuckle or pinkie rings.

LOVELY Edwardian Art Nouveau ruby and sapphire navette, sapphire engagement ring, gold ring, antique ring, vintage ring, statement ring.

This is a beautiful Edwardian era, Art Nouveau influenced ruby, sapphire and gold navette ring. The white sapphires look identical to diamonds and are virtually impossible to tell aprt without special equipment. The navette shape is very elegant and the bright pink ruby adds an element of fun, the outside of the ring is chased with a slightly leaf-like pattern. Rubies signify passion and sapphires fidelity so this would make a wonderful engagement ring!

Materials: 14k gold, tested, marked 585 which is European for 14k, genuine sapphires and ruby.

Era: Most likely late Victorian or Edwardian, circa 1900-1910s, has an Art Nouveau feel.

Ring with a natural ruby

The ruby setting is made of 18 Karat yellow gold. The setting height is approx. 2.5 mm (3/32").

The ruby is additionally decorated with 18 Karat gold spheres on both sides. The silver ring is hand-hammered – the width is about 3.8 mm (1/8").

The whole was polished.

The ring presented is available in size 8 (internal diameter of 18.2 mm - 3/4").

Enlarging or tightening is not an option. Only one piece was made.

Stone: natural, faceted ruby, 17x13 mm in size (11/16 by 1/2" inch).

Materials: 18 Karat yellow gold, 925 silver.

I'm neither so rich nor snooty that I have to have REAL stones all the time. Our Created Ruby is molecularly the same as the stuff that comes from the ground, but tons cleaner and with a lot better color. Oh, and it's affordable. If you happen to want a matching pair that's real, and of similar quality, I can get 'em for you, but it'll run at least $3-4,000 extra. 'Nuff said.

Fantastic color, incredible cut, perfect clarity -- all combining to create a totally awesome stone.

In plain English, this is simply a very pretty stone, and it's well mounted in this gold ring. Gives me goosebumps just to look at it.

A comfortable 2.3 carats, this is a really nice stone, clean and clear, with tons of bright, sparkly blue fire. Gives me goosebumps just to look at it., but then, I like Blue Topaz and Filigree.

The sides have a nice wide filigree pattern, allowing the stone to stand on it's own merits.

This ring just "feels" good, and look great! It is low domed, and won't hang up in your jeans pockets. It's just simply a pretty, and a comfy ring.

I found this piece 10 years ago at an antique store in New Hampshire and bought it at this price before the price of gold soared. I was told it was made in the 1920s, though I have never had that verified. The ring is in perfect condition with beautiful stones and an unusual cut. One of a kid piece that always fetches major compliments!

Fusing the original spirit of Anubis iconography into an extremely modern shape was my leading goal in the design of this ring. Anubis, the Egyptian god with the head of a jackal, is one of my favorite of the ancient Egyptian gods for his symbolic meanings and above all his elegant look. I have been drawn since childhood to ancient Egypt. With its immensely powerful pharaohs and a pantheon of fascinatingly named hybrid gods, this world represented for me a byword of mystery, esotericism, adventure and great treasures.

The Anubis ring celebrates this passion and is part of a collection of Egyptian jewelry dedicated to this theme. This version of the Anubis ring in 18K white gold, makes quite a unique and alternative engagement ring.

This unique ring reminds me a bit of the art deco style

it centers around a lovely natural rose cut ruby wrapped in 22 kt gold
this sits slightly off a wide and thick band of sterling, and above that is a half circle of 1.6 mm diamonds set in an Art Deco inspired arch- 9 diamonds in all

the width of the band is 15 mm and the thickness is 1.5- a very nice substantial feel to the ring

the diamonds are conflict free and are VS quality- they have a carved pattern around each one to give this unique design

i then lightly oxidized the silver, which has a brushed texture and it really brings out the pattern around the diamonds

the diamonds are super sparkly ands really catch the light

Ruby Engagement Ring in Rose Gold Milgrain Bezel "Sweet Pea" Design

This is a beautiful and delicate engagement ring featuring a lab ruby, set in a rose gold "sweet pea" ring with migrained bezel.

The center stone is a 10-mm lab grown ruby, weighing approximately 4.5 carats. It is flawless and well cut, with a beautiful and glowing red color. With natural rubies being so expensive or heavily treated, I decided to use a lab-grown ruby, since red is one of my favorite colors. Lab rubies are chemically identical to natural rubies, they were just grown in a lab. I think this ruby is beautiful!

This is a beautiful genuine natural Blood Ruby, approx 11 cts, set in a Sterling Silver 925 ring, size 9. The ornate details of the ring enhance the beauty of the gemstone. The ruby is faceted, oval-shaped and very pretty! The ring is 925 Sterling Silver, and stamped as such. The gemstone (ring top) measures 15mm x 11mm. This ring does have weight to it, as it is sterling silver. My jeweler and I designed this ring and the detail was conceived by me. My jeweler did set the ruby in the setting as I am still learning the process of jewelry and ring design. This is an original one-of-a-kind ring.

A handmade 14k rose gold ring set with a central 5.5mm moissanite and two 3mm rubies beside it.

Please note that the rubies are natural stones so the color may differ from the picture

The moissanites I use are Charles & Colvard 'Forever Brilliant' moissanites that are known for their high quality and shine.
