This Victorian-looking statement piece is made from all vintage components: an antiqued silver ring base and a ruby red glass cabochon with AB (aurora borealis) iridescent treatment. Although the cabochon measures 13x18 mm., the ring itself is approximately 25x30 mm. Decorated by ornate leaf-like scrollwork around the setting, delicate roses adorn the adjustable band. Band is adjustable, one size fits most (approx. size 5-8).If I had to describe this piece briefly some of the first words to pop into my mind would be substantial and heavy. This is not a piece that you put on and forget about. Not only does it sparkle and give off a firey glow, but it's also a rather solid and substantial piece. Adding to its sense of consequence, the setting is set much higher than the band and sits fairly high over the finger, not flat against it.
