This is a wonderful antique ruby diamond ring! This 1940's retro rose gold ring contains six rubies and seven diamonds in a very beautiful swirl design.The largest diamond is approximately 12 points, modern European full cut round and good color, approximately G-H, with SI2 clarity. The next accent diamond weighs approximately 5 points, also old European cut, approximately H-I color and SI2 clarity. The remaining five diamonds are all fine white round stones, ranging in size from approximately 1 - 3 points each. All of the diamonds are set in white gold with milgrain work around them. The ruby birthstones are all prong set. Please note that the rubies look lighter in the photographs and are more red in real life. This a well made and strong ring that can be worn every day or for special occasions. This free flowing design was popular in the 1940's and the look was to catch the eye and be remembered.
