Snake symbolism such as the ouroboros has been used since the most ancient of times to represent rebirth and the eternal.Snake rings were very popular in the Victorian and Edwardian eras and were given as tokens of undying love and affection, even Prince Albert gave Queen Victoria a snake ring as a symbol of their everlasting love.Double snake rings such as this one are very hard to come by these days especially with such a lovely gemstone combo.
