For your consideration is this delectable vintage ring from Church & Company (established 1922) featuring an exceptional 2.88ct star ruby. In incandescent lighting the regal stone is a beautifully saturated royal magenta color with a scarlet red glow at the base and a milky magenta hue at the northernmost surface. In strong sunlight the stone gleams a vibrant red with a crisp white star. In any light it is graced by a very nearly centered and pronounced asterism. This gem is natural and has not undergone any heat treatment or enhancements. It is held by four yellow gold prongs within a 14k yellow gold band. A .03ct round brilliant diamond resides bead set in a .230" x .107 platinum frame. The face of the piece measures .555" from North to South and .475" from East to West. The grooved shoulders are .108" wide and slightly taper to .078" at the base. The inside of the shank is stamped "14K, PLAT" along with a makers mark. This lovely ring is a size 6 1/2 and weighs 2.7dwt.
