This is a gorgeous ruby ring, cast into recycled 14k rose gold and given a soft finish. I hand twisted the wires to form the braided band, then had it cast into 100% 14k rose gold. The ruby is 3mm in and the band is 2mm wide. This is a beautiful ring to give for a July birthday, anniversary or a treat for yourself.
Rubies are said to inspire courage and promote prosperity. They are the July birthstone and is the anniversary stone for 15th and 40th wedding anniversaries.
This listing is for just the ruby ring, ready to ship in a size 8. Your ring will come in a gift box as shown in the last photo.
This is a unique ring, I've made it completely with my own hands, nothing about it is mass-produced. This is one of my favorite rings for it's simplicity and special meaning.
It reminds me of wheat and the story of The Little Prince, by Antoine de Saint Exupery. Specifically the part about taming the fox.
When the fox meets the Prince they are strangers, and the fox asks the Little Prince to tame him. He says, "The wheat fields have nothing to say to me. And that is sad. But you have hair that is the color of gold. Think how wonderful that will be when you have tamed me! The grain, which is also golden, will bring me back to the thought of you. And I shall love to listen to the wheat in the wind.”
"It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye." -Antoine de Saint Exupery
