I have so many specimens that are too fragile to cab, or look great just as they are. I wanted to somehow incorporate these raw rocks into my design, and claws are a perfect way to work around the irregular shapes and make sure the full attention is on the stone itself. A beautiful burgandy red ruby specimen is held securely in a hand fabricated claw setting.
The ring is a P-Q (approx 8.5-9) the shank is also chunky hand textured giving the ring a very solid and substantial feel. This ring would work equally well for a guy as it would a striking cocktail ring for a girl!
